Judgment Begin With Us

Introduction

My Brothers and Sisters in Jesus Christ, the words of Apostle Peter found in First Peter four and seventeen says, “For the time has come for judgement to begin at the house of God”. Then consider that Jesus tells Apostle Peter that our Father has revealed unto you my true identity, the Messiah, the Son of the living God, in Matthew sixteen and seventeen,. Furthermore in verse nineteen, Jesus tells Apostle Peter, “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven” (New King James Version, NKJ).

God is checking us out all the time

I like to tell people, that it does matter how people treat me, or what they do or don’t do to me. What matters is how I treat them, because that is what God is going to judge me by.

So we must show our faith, in the way we live

Our daily lives must reflect the faith we claim in Jesus Christ. No, we will not achieve perfection while we walk in these fleshly bodies, but we should be striving for it. And be ready to address, correct if possible, and ask for forgiveness when we fall short of living perfect Christian lives. Our Savior corrected the young man that called him “Good teacher” in Matthew nineteen and sixteen (New King James Version, NKJ), saying “No one is good but One, that is, God”.

Conclusion

So let me end with this, as we think of our standing with God and man, it does not matter how people treat us, but how we treat people. Live, reflecting our Father’s love and forgiveness as we engage with other people from day to day.
